This package contains the outputs of the "Community Informatics
for Developing Countries" conference, held in Cape Town 31st
August through 2nd September 2006. The conference
abstracts and papers are presented here as PDF files, and there is a
printable PDF file containing all the academically reviewed contributions,
with an ISBN number, so that you can print out the
"traditional" copy of the proceedings, bind it, and put it
on your shelf.
We wish to acknowledge the contribution of all
those who made the conference possible. Our keynote speakers,
session chairs, colleagues at the e-Innovation Academy of the Cape
Peninsula University of Technology, Elizabeth Dankwerts the conference
organiser, and all those others who helped in one way or
another. Most especially, we wish to thank the contributors and
delegates, without whom there would have been nothing to record and
